Forced Air Convection: An Industry Game Changer

Forced air convection technology affects three critical performance metrics: temperatureuniformity, chamber pull down, and recovery after door openings.

ULC Series freezers actively circulate conditioned air throughout the chamber. The result? FARRAR freezers and freeze/thaw equipment are over 30% more efficient at removing heat1 than the traditional cold-wall heat displacement process.

But we didn’t  stop there. Recovery from door openings is critical to helping maintain product integrity. We designed the FARRAR ULC Series with dual refrigeration units, providing full redundancy and allowing chambers to recover to -80°C up to 3 times faster2 than conventional ultra-low technology.

1, 2 Based on internal testing conducted across multiple equipment types. Individual results may vary depending on equipment, configuration, and operating conditions.
